Coming from a mixed academic and professional background with a master in aviation engineering and professional experience in sales, marketing and business development in petroleum industry for the aviation and marine sectors, business, innovation, management and strategy under the influence of globalisation and convergence of industries have always been a curiosity.
This was my initial motivation for obtaining my MSc degree in International Management and today I am in the second year of my PhD programme.
In the contemporary business environment, firms are engaged in collaborative networks to deliver a full-fledged product or service to customers. Ecoystems are one the settings where we can see this collective process where firms are collaborating to innovate. And nevertheless, value co-creation interdependency among autonomous firms, where private benefits co-exist with common benefits is challenging.
My research focu has evolved from innovation strategies in dyadic coopetitive settings to innovation strategies in ecosystems.
Research interest: Innovation ecosystems, platforms, multi-sided markets, Internet of Things (IoT), Industry 4.0..
